General Program Information
Do you offer transcript reviews, individual meetings, or campus tours?
No. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate individual requests of this nature for prospective applicants. However, our website provides detailed and regularly updated information that answers most questions. We encourage you to start there. If you have any specific questions that are not addressed online, please don't hesitate to contact us via email.
Our program also offers monthly information sessions, typically held from January to May. Please visit the Information Sessions Page for updates.
Does your program utilize rolling admissions?
No. The program does not participate in traditional rolling admissions. All applicants must complete and have all program requirements and prerequisites verified by September 1. The next cohort is selected by December, with classes beginning in the summer the following year. Only applicants who meet all requirements and prerequisites will be considered.
My institution only offers online coursework and Pass/No Pass grading. Will this meet the prerequisites?
The program only accepts letter grades for required prerequisite courses.
Does your program have a supplemental application?
No. There is no supplemental application or additional fee beyond the CASPA application. If you meet all requirements and prerequisites, you will be prompted to complete additional program-specific questions within the CASPA system.
Prerequisites and Program Requirements
Do I need to complete all prerequisite courses before submitting my CASPA application?
Yes. All requirements and prerequisites, including updated transcripts, must be completed and submitted by the September 1 deadline.
What kind of bachelor's degree is most beneficial/preferred?
The program requires a bachelor's degree but doesnotspecify a preferred major. While many applicants have backgrounds in biology, psychology, and general science, those with non-science degrees can still be competitive. These applicants often complete additional post-baccalaureate science courses to meet the prerequisite requirements.
Do you require the GRE or MCAT?
No. Neither the GRE nor the MCAT is required.
Will you accept a bachelor's degree or credits from a non-U.S./Canadian institution?
No. Foreign degrees, even with equivalency evaluations, donotmeet our academic prerequisites.
Will you accept online credits?
While the admissions committee prefers in-person coursework, online courses from regionally accredited institutions are accepted for most prerequisites. However, in-person labs are required for anatomy and physiology.
Do you accept transfer or advanced placement (AP) credits into your program?
No. The program does not accept or provide advanced placement.
CASPA Application
What is the application deadline for your program? Does my application need to be verified by the deadline?
The application deadline isSeptember 1 (11:59 p.m. EST/8:59 p.m. PST). Applications must becompleted and verifiedby this deadline to be considered. CASPA verification may take 2-4 weeks, so plan accordingly. Applications verified after the September 1stdeadline will not be considered.
Should I estimate health care experience hours (HCE) or send email updates to the program after I submit my CASPA application?
No. Please enter your hours accurately as of the date you submit your application. The admissions committee only considers the hours submitted at the time of submission; updates are not accepted.
