The Simulation Lab is a state-of-the-art facility operated by The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Our facility consists of three separate labs housed in the Pennington Health Science building, where we have the ability to run up to three simulations at one time. Additionally, we utilize state-of-the-art video and audio recording systems for further learning and debriefing. Featuring high-fidelity human patient simulators and a variety of clinical task trainers, our lab is designed to offer a realistic representation of a clinical environment to improve patient safety and health care outcomes.
The Simulation Lab is home to several high-fidelity manikins as well as numerous task trainers. These simulators allow students to master a variety of skills in a supportive and controlled environment. Some of the simulators include:
- Harvey
- SimBaby
- SimMan3G/SimMan3G+
- Gaumard Victoria
- SimJunior
