Nevada Clinical Simulation Center

About us

The Simulation Lab is a state-of-the-art facility jointly operated by The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) and the Orvis School of Nursing. Our facility consists of three separate labs housed in the Pennington Health Science building, where we have the ability to run up to three simulations at one time. Additionally, we utilize state-of-the-art video and audio recording systems for further learning and debriefing. Featuring five simulation technologies and a variety of clinical task trainers, our lab is designed to offer a realistic representation of a clinical environment to improve patient safety and health care outcomes.

The Simulation Lab is home to five separate simulation manikins as well as several task trainers. These simulations allow students to master a variety of skills in a supportive and controlled environment.
