About Family Medicine Residency Program
The Family Medicine Residency Program offers a supportive and dynamic learning environment that prepares residents to become skilled, board-certified physicians. Our trainees gain comprehensive experience in both high-acuity inpatient care and diverse outpatient settings. Residents and faculty are united by a shared commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to underserved populations with limited access to medical services.
With a high faculty-to-resident ratio, our program emphasizes individualized mentorship and hands-on learning with Residents work closely with experienced, dedicated faculty who are deeply invested in their education and professional growth. The curriculum provides a balanced blend of inpatient and outpatient training, complemented by a wide range of electives and opportunities for individualized rotations tailored to residents' career interests. In addition to bread-and-butter family medicine, our faculty has special interests in sports medicine, procedures, wilderness medicine, immigration, lifestyle medicine, addiction medicine, menopause care, and LGBTQ.
Our residents come from diverse personal and professional backgrounds, enriching the program with unique perspectives and collaborative learning. Established decades ago, our residency is well-respected within the region and fosters a strong sense of community-where residents, faculty, and staff form a second family that supports and mentors one another throughout their training and beyond.
